searching for a cheap automatic

We're definitely looking now.
Thanks fot Ian Duff in New Bedford who is going to be helping
me figure out what to do with Mom's car.
Now I need to find her a cheap, reliable automatic.
Found an 87 Jetta locally for about $1000, but it needs
about $1000 of work...

Wonder if Unka Bart still has that Omni/Horizon...
Speaking of whom, he's away dealing with his Mom's 
illness, and I don't think things are going well there.
