QSighting->North Chicago 'Burbs
Sighted (again):
Black 4000q (85-up vintage) in the parking lot of Northbrook Court
shopping mall, up on Lake Cook Road in the North 'burbs of Chicago (near
Deerfield for those who care/know).
I think I saw this car a couplea months ago wandering McCormick Blvd. in
Evanston, but now, it was parked, and I could take a better look at it.
Unfortnately, was with GF, so prolonged stare-time was not an option :)...
Stats:
. Black -- decent paint
. De-badged, save for some ugly stickers in the rear window and a small
Iowa "Hawk-eye" sticker in the left trailing boot lid.
. "Eibach" sticker in rear corner window
. "DTM" style dual exhaust tips (curved up over rear valence)
. five-spoke (?) wheels .. didn't catch brand
. looked like re-covered cloth interior (greyish blue) - NICE
. "quattro" logo on dash had letters painted red (nice touch)
. shift boot was red leather as well
. three-spoke steering wheel -- didn't catch brand/style exactly
. Treser-style (ala Duane Hale) rear center tail-light lenses smoked
*very* interesting car... (well, if you love 4kqs like myself)...
a lister? anyone else spy this car?
Cheers,
Mark
