And VERY offensive. While they may be more focused, the blue
light they give off completely ruins your night vision for quite
a while after the oncoming car has passed. Lights that lean towards
red don't affect your light sensitivity as much (nav stations
on boats are always set up with a red overhead light, so that the
navigator can read the charts and still be able to see at night).
But these bluish lights are just awful.
It is not difficult to filter these lights. The blue could be removed and
they would still be much more efficient and the point source would still
simplify controlling the beam shape.
