There's often too much quoting of previous posting(s), but there's also the
"sin" of quoting not enough (or nothing). Both extremes should be avoided.

Richard (and other qlisters): when replies quote _none_ of the previous
message (or question), posting to the list often has scant value, no matter
how good the advice may be.
