Ur-quattro is 857 919 051A. On digital dash cars, the gauge
is at least partly controlled by a potentiometer covered by tape
on the top right side of the display unit. It's marked with a
moulded "T".

On analogue cars, the microfiche describes using VAG 1301. It _looks_
like a calibrated potentiometer? From what I deduce, the gauge should
have a resistance of 60 ohms for a full tank, 115 for 1/2 tank, and
332 on reserve.
