4kQ or Coupe GT for Teen: update

Just to clarify; the teen was the one with the question.  He, too, is torn 
between
the style of the Coupe and the quattro engineering. The ideal solution
would be a European Coupe Quattro.  (He's already suggested
moving to Europe so he could get this and I could get
a 20-valve UrQ.  Hmmm...)

I've let him read many of the messages (but have censored
the discussions of rear seat room... from his mother!)  He's 
about decided that he would be better off with the 4KQ.  (In 
fact I have just arranged to go evaluate a local daily-driven
'84 4kQ for a bit over $500; will let you guys know what I find!)

In response to the discussions about "learning to drive"....
the teen has come up with a proposed "solution": 
he wants to learn how to drive/autocross properly in
"something else" to be a better driver in the quattro.

Without specifying, I think he has in mind my Corsa,
SAAB Turbo, or TR6. (Most likely a mix to get in all 
the varieties... is this a smart kid or what?  I think I'm
being "had"!)

BTW, no teen (even mine) deserves a UrQ at 16.  

Let 'em _earn_ it!
