Sounds like a good excuse to put in relays. To get started, check the 20V web page at

I've also seen wiring diagrams at other web sites, but it is really pretty simple. Main thing is to anticipate all the
parts needed so as to avoid more than 5-10 trips to the HW store. I ordered the relays from DigiKey as they have a
slick mating connector, but there are lots of other sources.
