Camaraderie

You know, I probably underappreciate the camaraderie on this list. But when I
think objectively about it...

We've got a guy in the UK running around with my dream car (and a boot full of
microfiche reader) with an amazing understanding of Audis... "deducing" what
US-spec electrical readings "must" be while denying "spider-bites"....

A guy in OZ with a 200 and great beer giving us the views from down under....

A bright young guy in Poland driving (and understanding) an Audi while his
office mates are happy with Trabants....

Pros like Ned from IA and Todd from.... V___... well some German
word....freely sharing their expertise with us...

A bunch of guys in CA and other foreign countries ;-) telling us how the
"other half" lives...

A guy in CO pretty much stating my opinion on firearms, politics, and the like
before I can get to it...

People whose "hobby" is reprogramming E-prom chips in their spare time....

A multitude of "normal" people from all around relating their experiences of
Audi ownership their almost-universal discontent with dealers....

Wonderful people like Unka Bart who have been wonderful "conversationalists"
via e-mail on a variety of off-topic subjects....

...and poor Dan doing the thankless job of moderating this unruly crew while
volunteering his time and service to provide us this venue. His thanks? We
bitch about search engines and spam!

My hat's off to the group... and though I've never met any of you in person...
you seem like old friends.

So, if the blonde in the new A4 doesn't seem to recognize my UrQ as anything
more than just another old car.... I don't care. It's worth putting up with
all the stresses and expenses of ownership thanks to the experiences of driving
it AND the true camaraderie of this group.

Thank You.
