Watkins Glen Quattro Drivers Safety School

I just wanted to take a moment or two to (now that the adrenaline has
somewhat subsided and I can type again) to review the event. It was my
first time on the track and I must say I was somewhat concerned about the
whole thing. I knew that I wanted to do it but there was the fear of the
unknown. Well I should have never worried. The Quattro club puts on a
first class event with outstanding instructors and logistics. It went like
a highly planned military operation.

My own personal experience was simply outstanding. Words can not describe
how much fun I had and how much I learned about my car, myself, and driving
at high speed. If anyone out there is thinking about going do not delay
sign up and get ready for the time of your life.

There were 104 cars at our event but it really never felt crowed on the
track and the passing procedures keep everything in line so everyone has a
great time.

Clearly, if you are going to go have the car checked as you will be putting
it under more stress than you have ever before but don't be afraid as these
cars are up to the task.

I have a 1991 90 20V Quattro Sedan and felt right at home the variety of
cars ranging from a 944 Turbo Porsche set up for racing to a Datsun 300 ZX
to a Toyota MR 2 and all the Audi's you imagine in between.

Simply this was the greatest 2 days I have ever taken for vacation. I will
be back next year and add Lime Rock and a few other events as well. If you
have ever thought about doing one of these do not wait get out there you
will have a ball.

Sorry for the bandwidth but I had to tell someone about the great time I had
and the great Q Listers I met and drove with.
