It's not hard to find, IMO. Just call http://www.thepartsconnection.com,
and order it by the yard. I did, and got some windshield washer hose too.
It was pretty cheap.
I think the braid helps with physical resistance to abrasion and chemical
breakdown, in addition to the other benefits.
