Water injection (was re: IC core removable)

When I bought one (not yet tested) for my Corvair, it wasn't to increase
horsepower, per se, but to reduce detonation with gasoline no longer the
equal of Sunoco 260.  (No intercooler on the Corvair, as the turbo is
downstream of the carb and fuel condensation when cold would make starting a
real challenge.)  Water injection should also indirectly increase power by
allowing higher boost pressures  with a given compression ratio.
