Stethoscope method:  What, you don't have a stethoscope?  Shame on you.
Read on....   Grab your longest screwdriver.  If it's not 10 inches long or
so, go to Sears and buy one.  Look at it lovingly and say, "Hello
stethoscope." <g>  Start the car up and probe for the sound.
