BS!!!  Absurd!  The reason it's "not a repairable item" is that there is a
whole lot more money to be made by replacing rather than repairing.

Pull the instrument cluster, find the bad bulb(s?) and get a replacement
from your dealer.  (<$5)  Reassembly is the reverse of dis-assembly.
