Sorry to be nit-picky, but 'The Thing', also known as the VW 181, was never
made in 4WD guise. It was built on a standard RWD Beetle floorpan. The 4WD
military vehicle was the Kuebelwagen, which rather looked like the 181.
I saw an old guy driving a _real_ nazi Kuebelwagen, last time I visited the
UK. Takes a lot of guts to wanna be seen in one...
