Our car owner has stayed at Iron Masters and liked it.  He is a very
particular old gent, so you should like the place.  The area around Lime
Rock is jammed packed with antique shops and just plain beautiful
country to explore.  Go out towards NY and there are tons of mansions
etc. to see.  Up Route 7 there are scads of antique shops.  Just about
everywhere you turn, there is a shop of some sort.  Go over towards
Hartford (less than an hour) and there are museums and the city.  You
may want to have the SO go to the track.  That, in itself, is the most
beautiful place and so pleasant, especially if the sun is out.
