Have you replaced the suspension bushings yet?  If not, that's probably the
culprit.  If not yet worn out, they will dry rot after a few years.  New ones
will certainly add to a crisper feel.  Of course, with all the extra sound
deadening material and body moulding on the 85-87 4kq, you will find it a
little heavier than the '84 (200 lbs about right?)
