To the best of my knowledge, there are two, count 'em, two quattro list
members in the entire state of WV.  The other WV list member lives about
175 miles north of me.  There is another in Blacksburg, VA (about 100 miles
south).  Then there is Doug in Louisville about 250-300 miles west and Bart
and Jim and several others in the general DC/Baltimore area about 300 miles
east.  Now just whom do you propose that I buddy with?  That doesn't make
for a very large or convenient interest group meeting.  

Where do I go to see Bart Chambers or Jim Griffin or Ed Kellock or Tom Nas
or...?  Pike's Peak, that's where.  I'd like very much to be able to join
the get together at Jim's tomorrow evening but >600 miles is a bit of an
excess for a pleasant evening's outing.  I'll be there in spirit if not in
the flesh.

BTW, we have a fairly new list member from Hays, KS.  Lee Powers found out
about our little romp and met us there.  He has since joined the list.

How do we expand our group?  This requires several things.  1.  e-mail
access.  2.  a certain degree of gear-headedness.  3.  a desire to
communicate.  4.  a certain amount of interest in others.  5.  a certain
amount of enlightened self interest.  Probably several more things can
result in a growing list membership.  Personal contacts can help.  How many
other non-list-member Audi owners do I know (or even know *of*)?  Two, I
think.  How many other Audis do I see frequently in my local travels?  None.
