Bad guys, good guys, morons, 100LS cheap

Bad guy #1. or children who play with rocks will be dismembered with
red-hot tire irons. One of above threw a rock and broke the WS of my car
last weekend. Good thing my wife's a lawyer; She'll defend me on charges of
justifiable atrocious assault (assuming I ever catch the little dirtbag,
AND assuming the judge knows about Audis.).

Call to insurance co reveals coverage for glass with zero deductable, go
see Harmon Glass in Daytona Beach.

Tom at Harmon Glass in Daytona Beach did the following:

Had me out the door in exactly one hour from when I drove in

Didn't break anything (plastic trim door posts, etc.), didn't scratch the
paint

And I didn't have to clean up after him.

Datapoint: List price ont he WS for an 86 5 KS is - ready - $1,649.70 !!!

Invoice total was $452.76 (after discount), total out of pocket was 50
cents for a soda. Happy customer here.

That's the good guy.

Next moron - picked up a nail, went to tire place, politely handed
monkey-lad my torque wrench to put wheel back on, he defensively advises me
that the knows how to use a torque wrench, been doing this for 25 years, I
said that I didn't mean to imply that he didn't know, but figured I'd save
him the trouble of going to get his by handing him what he needed. Fine,
torqued to 80 ft lbs +/- 50%, but monkey-lad left 45 psi in the tire! Need
to take this one out and shoot him. Now!

Last item: Found in car lot/repair shop in Daytona Beach, not too scruffy
looking 100LS, gold paint, good body, seats ragged, automatic tranny, "Only
needs a fuel pump!", the owner (who took three weeks to pay the $25 towing
charge) wants $300 for it, repair shop says they'll take less - when I get
the phone number of the owner, I'll pass it along if anyone wants this car.

Incidentally, the 5000 Ks I mentioned last week which needed seats (the "I
want $1,400 but I'll take $1,200" clown) wound up at a buy here pay here
car lot - and he's wholesaleing it because it really is a toad.
