that's one of the reasons i did not buy another audi as our 2nd car. our
'98 a6q has been in the shop too much and is due for another visit (rear
right window will not close again and the map pocket on the driver door is
broken).

i had been driving our other car ('98 lexus gs300) for about a month, but
it really stressed my carpal tunnel syndrome too much, so i am back to
driving the a6q. on the one hand, a6 maneouvers with a lot more grace. on
the other hand, the lexus has a much smoother and more muscular power, with
a much nicer acceleration at all speeds.

but the most interesting comparison is the cornering behavior. while the
audi feels more agile, at the same speed on the same curve (the freeway
onramp near work) the audi tires will squeal a bit as the lose traction
while the lexus will take the curve silently and with less body roll.

i am wondering if it's the tires on the a6 -- i recall someone here
recommending better tires than what comes standard on the a6. any
suggestions?

as for the humidity, every time i get into the a6 the a/c initially puffs
out a lot of humid air. is this a standard audi a/c behavior?
