Well, thanks to someone at European Car Service and a phone call from Robert
Myers (thanks, Robert, I owe you one!) we were able to track down the problem to
a faulty linkage between the cruise and the throttle body.  Dick Binns, you were
right on the money.  So, a quick stop to get some twist-ties or chewing gum or
something and she should be on her way.  Boy, had me scared for a second, I was
dreading the thought of either a) the Audi Dealership or b) towing a quattro
back to Michigan on a flatbed.

So, thanks again everyone, I'll keep you posted as to the progress (should there
be any further problems!)
