help with a speeding ticket and cool driving story stuff...

Hey all, well, good news and bad news from my side...which do you want
first...how bout that bad news. WEll, i got a speeding ticket
tongiht...argh... I decided that i wanted to take the scenic way home
which included taking 84 from 280 all the way out to highway 1 and then
up the coast to SF...you all in CA know what im talking about...

Anyway, i just came onto 1 and was going at a good clip...and then i came
around a turn and a cop was there...he got me, i knew it instantly. Here
is the conversation when he came to the car:

he said: dont you know how fast you were going
me: nope, how fast? (exasperated look)
him: 72 mph
me: oh god
him: do you know the speed limit?
me: isnt it 65? (knowing its 50)
him: no, its 50, how fast did you think you were going?
me: 50? oh god... i thought i was doing 65, i just got new tires that are
a different size, maybe that is the problem (i thought i was doing 75 to
80)
him: yeah, could be

Anyway...so now i have to appear...whoopdeedoo...i think that i can just
get traffic court. He decided to give me a break. He wrote down my
speed as 65 and the speed limit as 55 so its only a 10 mph ticket. But
anyone have any suggestions?

The good news:

I love my car. Every time i feel like the suspension is too stiff, all i
need to do is take it to highway 84 at 11:00 at night. No traffic and
its a challenging, twisty, well banked and paved road. Anyway, i was
going and there was this little miata POS in front of me. He didnt like
my driving lights, which i know were not glaring at his eyes cause i have
checked so he actually stopped in the middle of the road...i started to
go around him, and he took off. so i got back behind him and he was
going as hard as he could. The funny thing is that his hardest was my
6-7/10'ths. In fact, i was right on his ass the whole time wihtout
really trying. He was trying so hard that at one point, the tail kicked
out on his car and he almost spun. He immediately pulled off the side of
the road and i left him waaaaayyy behind..

God i love this car....hehe
