rear fog lamps

Earlier discussion on fog lamps got me thinking. Is it possible to
connect the passenger side rear fog lamp so that it works? I looked on
my A6, exterior only, an there seems to the reflector, and possibly the
bulb assembly present. I know this does exist in some cars from audi/vw,
as a friend hooked up his in his Corrado, the works were all there just
not connected. Anyway looked in the archives and didn't find anything
so, ideas, BTDT etc appreciated.
BTW a plus for rear fogs here in the US, since most cars don't have
them, is that i find them very effective at getting rid of tailgaters
rapidly, by turning them on for just a second or so, the folks following
to closely think that you have sudenly braked. 1 or 2xs gets rid of them
for good.
