went down to the wellington audi dealer to kick the tyres of an '85 wr
ur-q (red/grey leather, 95k miles $20k, almost certainly sold). while
he drooled over the 20v (he hadn't seen one), i chatted to him about the
delivery times of the new s4...
it's now february 1999 in new zealand.
all s4's are now pre-sold in new zealand.
all "owners" of s4's (those who have put down a deposit) are now driving
around in a4 1.8t's courtesy of audi. the car is theirs to use until
their s4 arrives.
the plans for a track day to launch the car are still on.
those problem turbo manifolds are expensive suckers....
