Response to Vent
Andrei let fly the following:
>All and all, I decided to pass on this car. Too much uncertainty.
Andrei:
Sounds like you did the right thing by passing. Sure, it may be a sound
car but after reading your review, too many red flags were (IMO) present.
Same dealer prolly advertises those funny Italian cars as "Alpha Romero" in
the paper, no doubt with the hilarious optional "fuel infection". You're
right, the little things can add up.
I believe you have been infected with a particularly virulent strain of
quattro-itis. You may want to call about the following medicine spotted in
the Atlanta Journal Constitution this weekend:
Audi 5000 CS Quattro 1986 Turbo, 79K miles, 5 spd., all options, everything
works. Pearl. $3500 stereo. Sharp! $4,900. 423-499-2974.
A little high but it may be worth a call. Remember, I'm not a doctor so I
can't prescribe this medicine, but it may be the cure, who knows? Caveat
emptor, not connected, blah blah.
Good luck with your search!
