The hose is for water draining. Blau sells the Hirschmann replacement.
About $60 as I remember. It has a spot for the hose too. 2 years, No
problem with the unit. I may be wrong, but I thought my Hirschmann was
mfd somewhere in Europe. I would advise calling Blau, and asking Jim why
you shouldn't buy the parts-r-us model.
