The V8 has a big chunk of magnesium? across the front so my guess is that it 
is much stiffer.

... I guess my $0.02 would be to have you check under the hood of your V8
... it probably has the same bulkhead that the 5k has ... and it has an
upper stress bar.  Whether it is worth $200 ... that's another question.
