If the state issued you a front plate, it's probably necessary.  flag
down a cop at the local donut shoppe.

My red 4kq has a black "dual-stripe" pinstripe down each side.  Quite
subtle, but does add a bit of spice.  Multi-colors may approach tacky,
no matter what the hues..

I had to repaint my rear bumper cover a year ago (driver error, plus it
was pretty faded compared to the upkept body paint), and it looks
fantastic, better than new.  It was done properly with prep,
flex-additive, lots of sanding, etc.  I do NOT recommend hitting it with
a scuff pad and a can of Krylon.  Now I just have to do the front
bumper... it really made the car look better
