The Audi File
I've got it. It's interesting, and thick, but not much on recent Audis.
It's mostly about the evolution of the company, and the cars that
they've produced, but coverage of post 1980 cars is pretty thin.
BTW, since the 944 v. urQ thread is discussing the "image" of Audi vs.
Porsche owners, perusing this book may remind you all of the image that
Audi STILL has for me, even though I bought an A4Q when I could've had
almost anything: Audi largely made classy-looking but unexciting
underpowered sedans. I got an Audi because I wanted the superior
Quattro, but to non-Audi-fanatics, Audi itself is not a prestige or
luxury plate; it's more like Peugot or Saab; foreign-looking, slow,
expensive, unreliable, and certainly not mainstream.
