I think you can do it without removing the ashtray, in fact I think all
of the brackets you need are there. I'm not sure if the wiring is,
however. I've only had that bit of the carpet up once, and I don't
recall seeing any empty connectors. It's worth a look though, just
taking off the bottom bits of the center console should be enough to see
any free connectors.

195/60/15 are the stock tires, but a 205/55/15 (? I think it's 55) works
wonders.
