90 Coupe questions

Your first stop ought to be the 20V pages at
http://www.20v.net/ and http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/3229//

You'll find full discussions of what goes right and wrong with the CQ.
Having owned one for a year now, I am delighted with the car, a truly unique
sports coupe built to a high level of finish and possessing a high level of
exclusivity. In stock form, they're a bit low on power, and somewhat
softly sprung.

I would opine, however, that you're looking at a car with a _lot_ of
mileage: What was the PO doing that he/she racked up 25K/year for 8 years?
Coupes with half the mileage sell for $8-10K, and a lister with a 130K Coupe
with some nice mods just sold for $8200. So if this is your price point,
I'd negotiate hard to get it even lower, and if you can afford more, I'd
look for a 100K mile/$8K car. BTW, one very interesting project car
recently posted to the 20V list was a theft recovery CQ in Boston with an
intact drivetrain but pillaged interior; $2500.

Good luck,
