Why Would Anyone Buy an Audi?

 Next time some smart-ass asks you "'Why would anyone buy an Audi?" you
can
refer them to Joseph Buffer, from Malibu California.  On Wednesday,
August 5th
Joseph was driving to Oxnard (about 20 miles up the coast) to see a
movie... windows rolled up, radio cranked up and air conditioner running.

He pulled around the flashing red warning lights at the railroad crossing
– said later he didn't think they were working– and directly into the
path
of a freight train doing about 8 mph, which then proceeded to T-bone
Joe's Audi in the right-front door.

The photograph in Thursday's Los Angles Times, Ventura County Section, 
shows two, dinner-plate-sized holes in the caved-in door and the door's
glass
shattered.  The door is still closed and both the A- and B-pillars and
the roof line appear to be intact.

After a city fire fighter helped him push his Audi off the tracks, Joe
brushed off  the glass from the front seat and drove it home.  He planned
to skip the movie he said...
