In the early 1980s, Porsche was a customer of mine and I was a fairly
frequent visitor to Weissach.  At that time, one of their development
testbeds was a VW bus.  Every now and then this thing would be seen
screaming up and down the local Autobahns with white-coated technicians
in the back, and an engine under test installed in the middle of the
floor.

The image comes back to me with the thought of a Porsche SUV.
