S4/6 FAQ?

I've been searching for an "I wanna buy an S4/6" FAQ describing the
model differences and things to look out for and can't find any such
beast. Does one exist? Anyone care to pipe up with opinions? (nah, not
given this audience <g>).

For example, what's the difference between a '92-'94 S4 and a '95 S6, or
even more anal, between a '95 and a '95.5 S6, how do you tell, and does
it really matter anyway?

Folklore as I remember it has the '92 S4 was lower, had a rear swaybar,
carbon fiber trim and a trip computer that later models don't have.
True? Do either the differences in ride height or fitment of rear bar
make any difference in handling? Do later cars really lack a trip
computer? What do you play with at a stoplight to confound Audi newbies
on their first ride? I seem to recall the S6 has EDL rather than manual
locks, but didn't the '91 200q have TORSEN middle and rear (or was that
limited to the V8)? Did that go away for the "S" cars?

Questions, questions, too bad I'm too slow to find a FAQ to save
bandwidth (after all, I *did* go to school on a *short* bus). TIA,
