Re: Dogs in our cars, and mud flaps

Hairy green toads from Mars made Joe Rae say:

Well, I'm an Avant-guy (tm) *now*, but Tucker spent 3 years in the
backs of our 90Q and 100Q sedans. He's an 85 pound retriever.

We tried blankets; useless. We finally put down a carpet scrap that
was about 3'x5' or so. It covered the seat, and stuck out a little.
He liked that.

Unfortunately, our daughter won't share a back seat with him any
more (he's a wee bit of a drooler when he rides), so we got the
Wagon for him, with plates to commemmorate it.

Previously, our 4 other Goldens rode in the backs of our VWs
for 20-something years. They had cloth, though, not leather.
No rips at all.
