In the US, stalking is a joke to police departments...

Our house was regularly egged to harass me.  Once, someone took a pot-shot
at the house with a bb gun.  A policeman came over to take a look at it;
the shot pierced our driveway lamp post's glass sides.  He goes back to his
cruiser, pulls out a drinking straw; sticks it in the two holes; they lined
up perfectly for one of the windows of the 1st floor bedroom.

One morning, after our house was molested, I discovered one ladies' leather
sandal sitting in my driveway.  It belonged to the girlfriend of the "head
hoodlum" in town.

The incidents stopped that day when I presented the sandal to her, and said
"I believe you left this in my driveway last night."  She blushed BRIGHT
red and didn't say a word...

Only recently did I have further trouble.  The 5k took a hit from a beer
bottle on the back passenger side.  I would guess they were aiming for the
back window but were too drunk.

This was right after I bought the 200q; if they had so much as breathed on
it, I would have shown up on the kid's doorstep with a shotgun.

They weren't too bright; they left the beer bottle; alas, the dumb locals
claimed they couldn't pull fingerprints off the bottle, and "even if we
did, they probably wouldn't be on file."  Funny, but the head hoodlum's
father is also the fire chief.  Fire dept and police dept are in the same
building, and they're all buddies over there...

   Years ago, the same creep shot at another kid who lives about 5 doors
down from his house.  People saw him get hauled off by the cops, along with
the BB gun he used.  The BB was recovered in the wall of the house, in the
kid's room; he was in the room at the time.
   You thought the whole school-shooting incidents just started; they
didn't.  The sick thing is, this creep got off without a single day in
juvenile prison or anything.  Plus, his juvenile record will never get
released, so no one will know this creep was running around taking pot
shots at fellow schoolmates...
