AFAIK, there weren't any significant changes to the 12v motor for
the
earlier A4s, either.
Also, I believe the timing belt set up on the 30v motors is the same
as the 12v (the second cam is chain driven off the first) so this
may be
applicable to those motors as well.
One would think that Audi would notice a pattern of these things
busting
in the neighborhood of 60k and start issuing service
recommendations, but
hey...
