Or ideas ABOUT any specific type of vehicle, for that matter.

Case in point, and bringing in some Audi content: last week I was having
lunch with a co-worker, and it came up in conversation that I'd recently
bought an Audi.

"An awe-dee?" he said.  "Aren't those the cars that went wild and ran
over all those people?"  

He wasn't joking.  Naturally, I ran down the canonical list of 60
Minutes' sins ("the same people who put a rocket motor in a Chevy gas
tank to make it explode for the cameras" gets a nod, BTW), but... 

You buy 'em books, and you buy 'em books, and they just chew on the
covers.
