Re: synth vs. the environment. 0 Audi content

Well damn, I accidentally deleted my response and I don't feel like typing
it all in again. Just a couple quick summarized points:

1. Growth is zero sum? I haven't heard anything that inane in quite a
while. Thanks for the laugh. Don't know the Limbites or their growth
projections but real, measurable economic growth has taken place over a
single generation. Pick one.
2. If you really want to bet something, how about mimicking the
Simon-Ehrlich bet?
3. Bob Myers who?
4. Go read JS's book. His data points span much more than 16 years. Much
broader, in fact, than any "doom and gloomer's" data points.
5. Phillips Curve? Tower of Babel? I've read the Bible (more than once
and in more than one language) and have two degrees in Econ. Don't get
your context about a theory about the relationship between the rates of
unemployment and inflation though.

>Regardless of the posturing I or anybody else engages in (since most of us
>here are not trained scientists), I guess this comes down to a matter of
>belief, faith, and religion.

But some of us are. If you continue to ignore the facts, data and trends,
that's about it.
