And pray which side of the ocean is "this"?  Audi built the ur-quattro
from 1980 to 1991 - only during three of those years was a _proportion_
of the production shipped to the USA.  The "mass populace" in regards to
ur-quattro ownership is not in the USA - there are probably more
ur-quattros on the road today in the UK alone than ever reached North
America.

And then we have to add Finland, Norway, South Africa, New Zealand -
all of which have ur-quattro owners on the list.

In fact, if we took a roll-call on the list, we might find that non-US
ur-quattro owners outnumber the rest.
