100E Model
When I lived in Germany about 15 years ago, I remember the 100 series to be
distinguished by either a 5T or 5E badge in the grill on the car. Back
then, when I asked my neighbor Herr Kornherr, who had a 5T, what the 5T
stood for, he explained that the badge is meant to differentiate between
the 100 turbo, and the 100 einspritzer (fuel injection). This was in the
days when fuel injection was still an option on most cars, and by the way,
also the days when I knew I had to wait another 8 years or so to be old
enough to have a driver's license.
