Though, as you say, automatics don't promote lobotomy's on CA drivers, you
forgot 2 things:

1) if the stickshift don't kill you in traffic (as in your left leg is the
size of the "Terminator", and the right leg is like Barny Fife's), then the
freeway shooters, smog, illegals in beat up pickups, or car jackers WILL

2) Whoever said we even drive in SoCal? We just go to the highways to park
our cars!
