Engine Hesitation on 83 Coupe

Hi, I've got a 81 4k w/ 300+k miles (original owner) and a 83 Coupe 
(180k miles) that I just 2 months ago.  The coupe was maintained very 
well, and in good driving shape.   I've put about 1,000 miles on the car 
since.  About 500 miles ago, it started to develop a miss under heavy 
acceleration.  This was more pronounced in 4th & 5th gear than in 2nd or 
3rd, and rarely if ever happened in 1st.  The car also had to be warm, 
and running 15+ minutes.  Changing the cap, rotor, wires and spark plugs 
seemed to solve the problem for 250 miles.   Now it's come back...  
Cleaned the cap & rotor, which didn't help.  Plugs still look new.  I 
haven't pulled the injectors yet to check them, I'll probably do that 
this weekend.  But I'm still unsure if the problem is fuel related or 
electrical.  I cannot reproduce it at idle, or when the car is not under 
load.  It won't miss under easy acceleration, just under heavy. The 
engine's quiet, no valve noise at idle, or while driving (even when 
missing).  No air obvious air leaks in the FI system either...  Has 
anyone had a similar problem or any suggestions?
