Peter-

I own a 1987 Audi Coupe GT, and had to replace the seal that you are
talking about.  If your seal is black, the part number is 855 877 297
2AT.  All you'll need to do the job is remove the old seal, clean the
perimeter of the sunroof well, and install the new seal by starting in
the center of the back and carefully working around the roof, making
sure the seal is TIGHT to the sunroof.  When you get back to the middle,

snip the seal with a SHARP cutting tool for a clean edge, apply a small
bit of epoxy, and join the two ends.  The seal cost me $49 from Carlsen
Audi (1-800-523-2408 ask for Linda), and I doubt you'll find it
cheaper.  As for the ring decals, try the dealer or Blaufergnugen at
1-800-683-AUDI.  Best of luck.
