86 5KTQ Check engine light

After getting the car put back together from what started out as 
replacing a cracked exhaust manifold, discovering 1 already broken stud 
and breaking three more in the process (with about 5 ft.lbs of force), 
hence pulling the head, helicoil, etc. The car now runs great, pulls 1.8 
bar easily (I.A.), the only problem is the check engine light flashes on 
at any boost above 1.2, I can run at 1.1 with no light, a bit more gas, 
1.2 and the light comes on and promptly goes off again when the boost 
drops.  I pulled the fault codes and got 2111, which means the control 
unit is not receiving the engine rpm sensor signal which I wouldn't 
think would be boost specific.  Seems strange, it never flashed before 
the work (ordeal) and it's odd as I didn't really mess with anything, 
it's pretty much nuts and bolts and unplugging some stuff.  Any clue?
