radio codes

Oh well, now I've done it. Bought a used 1988 90S. Was letting it sit in the
driveway waiting for tags and the battery went dead. Needless to say, the
radio is now in lock mode and I don't have the code to release it. Any
suggestions? Do I need to go to dealer so they can reactivate it or is there
someway to find the code. The previous owner did not leave the code anywhere
in the car and the dealer where I bought the car hasn't a clue (on this and
many other topics I'm sure). Any help welcome.
