Air Bag Lightshow?

I  know I missed a thread about "airbag lights" coming on,
but I was out west at MH98 and at my bro's in Lake Tahoe. 

Particulars -- 1989.5 200 tqw with recent (6mo ago) airbag recall
performed at dealer. Airbag light just popped on this am on the
drive to the shop... Any ideas?  Maybe the in the recall repair,
Audi really just implanted a timer in the airbag to toggle the light
on about now...
