Re: v-belts

    I suspect the Audi pulleys are machined to metric specifications and our
imperial sized belts do not match up too well. I've managed to match up
belts, but you have to try several & look closely at the fit. It's easier to
buy the German-made belts from the dealer, I suppose.
    If the new belt fits below the pulley rim, it is a definite no-go.
