Unfortunately there is no preload adjustment on the 82 coupe rack. 
There was on my 76 Vega, there is on my 73 F250.  There is on some other
Audi racks, but not on mine.  Darn.

PS, the 82 coupe also doesn't have the steering damper shown in
Bentley... would I want to fit one of these just for something to do
some evening???
