If the leak is from your heater core, then you'd be smelling
the musky aroma of coolant in your car's interior.

Have you been using your air conditioning?  It's possible that
the drain tube for the pan under your passenger side dashboard
is clogged, causing the pan to overflow and splash water on
the floor.
