1st report - the new belt, a Gates made in Belgium marked VW/OOOO, fits
the pulley much better.  rides at the outside of the flange, and the
angle is closer to matching.  The teeth look somehow "higher quality"
too.  One thing, it is 9.5mm x 850 mm, the fiche says it should be 800
mm.  So the alt is going to be an inch or so further out than I'm used
to.  I hope it fits, I hate waiting for replacements!

Haven't put it on yet, I'm waiting for my custom toothed alt bracket to
come back from the powder coater... later this week? for the 2nd report.
